Portal and Subscriptions

Portal accounts identify organization members. Application API keys identify software calling the data API.

Open Customer Portal, select an application, then use:

1. Subscriptions & Access to inspect platform-assigned access.
2. Application Keys to issue or inspect key status.
3. Usage to inspect the latest 30 days.

Whale creates data products and assigns, renews, pauses, or cancels subscriptions. Organization users cannot expand datasets, platforms, fields, or quotas themselves.

Effective access = organization ceiling ∩ data product scope ∩ granted subscription scope

Multiple active subscriptions are combined. Expiration or cancellation removes only the access granted by that subscription.

The full API key is shown once at creation. Portal later exposes only its prefix and usage metadata.
